Our Privacy Principles
- We do not sell user's information.
- We do not allow those who are doing business on our behalf to use our users’ information for their own marketing purposes.
- We contractually require any organization providing products or services on our behalf to protect GoodTube user information.
- We afford prospective and former GoodTube users the same protections as existing users with respect to the use of personal information.
Organizational Information
We collect only the information provided to GoodTube about your organization. We use this information in order to verify your organization's 501(c)(3) status. By providing this information, GoodTube makes it possible for organizations to collect donations through GoodTube. The information your organization provides will be shared with a third party for the sole purpose of verifying the organization's 501(c)(3) tax status. The third party adheres to GoodTube's privacy policy and will not use the information you provide for any other purpose than verifying the organization's status as a non profit.
The information about the organization that is listed on the organization page will be displayed to all visitors to GoodTube. The information on the organization page is determined by the account administrator and can be changed or removed at anytime. This information allows interested users to contact the organization for further information about the organization, volunteering and making donations.
Personal Information
GoodTube doesn't require the disclosure of any personal information in order to view videos or search our database.
GoodTube requires users to create an account in order to upload videos or leave comments. We require an account in order to protect against unauthorized content showing up under your username. Having a GoodTube account also allows users to manage their content and keep information about their content current.
GoodTube collects only the personal information you provide to GoodTube about yourself. GoodTube collects your email address for GoodTube communication, including verification of changes to your account information, communicating comments about your posted videos and changing your passwords or email address. GoodTube will not share this information with any third parties without users' consent. If consent is given, the third party will adhere to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Uploaded Content
Once content is uploaded to GoodTube, it is considered public information and may be shared and dispersed by the users of GoodTube. Allowing users to share videos helps to increase the amount of exposure each video gets, thus increasing the exposure of the cause and organization.
Updating Personal and Organizational Information
GoodTube provides access to all personal and organizational information upon correctly signing into your GoodTube account. GoodTube allows users to change or delete any personal or organizational information. Details for updating account information is provided in the Help section of GoodTube. The Help section can be accessed by clicking on the Help tab in the upper right hand corner of every page. If you are experiencing trouble changing your account information, send an email to help@goodtube.org and a GoodTube representative will assist you.
Security
Any and all information shared on GoodTube is over a secured connection. We take every necessary step to ensure the security of the information you provide to GoodTube. All third parties referred to users by GoodTube also adhere to the highest level of security.
Avoiding Phishing Scams
Phishing scams attempt to collect personal information about individuals by posing as a reputable company. The following information will help you identify legitimate communications from GoodTube.
GoodTube takes phishing scams into consideration when contacting customers. GoodTube will never ask for any personal information via email. GoodTube will only ask for personal information (email address, password, user name) for sign in, forgotten password and uploading videos. Under no circumstances will GoodTube ask for any sensitive information, including banking and credit card information, social security number, etc. Credit card information is only required if you want to make a donation, in which case you will be taken to our donation processing website (www.donation.com). A donation will never be processed via email or on a GoodTube page. All GoodTube communication will come from an address ending in @goodtube.org. If you ever receive a suspicious email posing as GoodTube correspondence, report it immediately to security@goodtube.org.
